A NEW STEP TOWARD GROWTH AND INNOVATION

New NIF Huizhou Production Facility Strengthens Collaboration Within the Wesemael Group

The Wesemael Group has taken a significant step toward further strengthening its international production chain. NIF Huizhou Production, Trade and Service, which, like Van Nifterik, is part of the Wesemael Group, moved into a new, modern production facility in China in October.

For Van Nifterik, this development means further optimization of collaboration within the chain and a strengthening of delivery reliability, quality, and flexibility for customers worldwide.

Strategic capacity building and collaboration

The new facility is much more than just an expansion of production and storage space. The building was designed to streamline processes, increase capacity, and further strengthen collaboration within the Wesemael Group.

Since the move, we have had ample space to operate at full capacity. In addition, we now have sufficient warehousing capacity for our customers and the sister companies within our group.. – Jeroen Ratterman (General Manager NIF)

This expansion gives the group greater flexibility in production and logistics. For Van Nifterik, this means greater assurance of availability, faster response times, and an even more stable foundation for serving customers worldwide, even when market demand fluctuates.

Quality as a key link in the chain

Quality assurance is central to the partnership between NIF and Van Nifterik. At the new facility, processes have been further optimized to monitor quality at multiple stages of the production process.

We conduct quality control checks on incoming goods, during production, and just before the container is loaded. This allows us to monitor the quality of our products at every stage. – Jeroen Ratterman (General Manager NIF)

This structured approach ensures that Van Nifterik can count on consistent product quality throughout the entire supply chain. This directly translates to reliability for customers and reduced risks in international logistics.

Efficiency, sustainability, and digitalization

The new location has enabled significant progress to be made in terms of operational efficiency and sustainability. Improved process design has reduced waste and led to a more effective use of resources.

In addition, NIF has made significant progress in its digital transformation.

A key improvement at our new factory is the increased operational efficiency. In addition, we now use an ERP system, which makes our processes easier to manage and provides greater transparency. – Jeroen Ratterman (General Manager NIF)

For Van Nifterik, this means greater transparency throughout the supply chain, improved planning and inventory management, and more reliable delivery to customers worldwide.

A strong foundation for horticultural products worldwide

From its new production facility, NIF will continue to supply a wide range of horticultural products for sectors including greenhouse horticulture and tree nurseries. These include bamboo sticks for plant support, Tonkin trellises, metal frames, clips, and labels.

These products play a key role in the cultivation process, where quality, reliability, and availability are essential for end users worldwide.

Tangible benefits for Van Nifterik and its customers

The expansion of production capacity and logistics processes within NIF has a direct impact on Van Nifterik’s services. Thanks to more modern production methods, more efficient processes, and better internal coordination, the supply chain becomes stronger and more reliable.

This results in tangible benefits for customers:

For our customers around the world, this move means more sustainable products and greater delivery reliability. – Jeroen Ratterman (General Manager NIF)

In addition, the increased capacity makes it possible to respond more quickly to market developments and develop new products, which further strengthens the group’s innovative capabilities.

Future-oriented collaboration within the Wesemael Group

With the opening of this new facility, the Wesemael Group is taking a significant step toward further strengthening its international supply chain. For Van Nifterik, this provides a solid foundation for continued growth, innovation, and reliable supply to customers worldwide.

The new NIF Huizhou facility thus represents not only an expansion of production capacity, but above all a strategic strengthening of collaboration, quality, and continuity within the group.

Building on this foundation, Van Nifterik continues to develop long-term partnerships and reliable solutions for the international horticultural sector.
